The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Fighters Party

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a wide array of personalities, and a thrilling plot including divine entities, fiends, and malevolent powers expanding in power within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Key plot points for Episode 3 of this adventure follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled

The third episode ended with a dramatic pause and introduced the initial group of heroes who will branch out from the main group to begin their own adventure, separate from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table features Teor (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Dividing the Cast

Given a large ensemble, it was obvious from the outset that having everyone at a single group would be impossible.

This explains, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before branching into three separate parties: Fighters, Planners, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

Per the DM, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who enjoy a typically action-packed fight-heavy narrative style where non-violent answers are few and far between.

Upon first impression, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might seem unsuited, but the actions of episode 3 demonstrate why these five characters are perfectly fit for the warrior group.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the group knows exactly where to proceed after a brutal opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose demise started the story’s plot—used The Crow Keepers for his own means, breaking into the hidden lair, assaulting Thimble, and taking all the enchanted items to auction.

The traitor then cleared his liabilities and fled to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, above the city, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each adventurer has a personal reason to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • Thimble, as the companion and trusted friend, seeks retribution.
  • The adventurer is familiar with the northern area and warns that it is a hostile environment.
  • The strong character and The healer, having resisted his house’s orders to execute the target and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their position as prominent individuals in the powerful family could help the team access areas they normally couldn’t.
  • Furthermore, The fighter swore a eternal obligation to The cleric for his rescue and will now follow him wherever.

Fugitives

Lastly, all of them are sought by the authorities that control Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The rogue and The character are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and The cleric turned against the influential house and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • Teor is marked for death by the clan.

This means them little choice but to journey toward Timmony in quest for the traitor.

What’s Next?

Based on the latest episode’s post-show segment, we find out that the Soldiers table will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight cast members to form the Explorers and Planners groups.

Audiences can look forward to finding out which players will be where in the story’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on October 24.
